Your new role

As Senior Field Manager in Medical Affairs Cardiometabolic, you will lead a team responsible for advancing medical education and building meaningful relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and professional associations – ensuring that the clinical value of Novo Nordisk's cardiometabolic portfolio is understood and recognized at both national and global levels.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a team of medical affairs professionals, setting clear objectives and translating departmental strategy into operational priorities that drive measurable impact.
  • Leading the team to provide medical education to healthcare professionals through scientific meetings, symposia, continuing education workshops and tailored programs for physicians, pharmacists and scientists.
  • Building and nurturing strategic relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical professors, teaching-hospital faculty, government agencies, health systems and healthcare professional associations.
  • Driving the scientific communication strategy across clinical trial phases, including input to clinical trials, real-world evidence plans and the identification of potential clinical trial sites.
  • Defining and executing publication strategies, integrating the patient voice through advisory boards, and coordinating scientific recruitment and retention activities.
  • Providing medical guidance internally through training programs and ensuring the organization is equipped with accurate, up-to-date medical information on marketed products and related topics.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to field medical employees to have effective scientific engagement.
  • Lead with excellence to have the field medical team stay on track for their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Within International Operations, the Medical Affairs Cardiometabolic team plays a pivotal role in connecting clinical science with real-world healthcare decision-making across diverse markets and geographies. You will join a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about demonstrating the clinical outcomes and benefits of our cardiometabolic portfolio – from thought leaders and medical groups to health systems and government agencies. This is where scientific excellence meets global ambition, and your leadership will help shape how our science reaches and benefits patients worldwide.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for an experienced medical affairs leader who thrives at the intersection of science, strategy and stakeholder engagement. You will bring with you:

  • Significant experience in medical affairs, clinical development or a related field within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a strong understanding of the cardiometabolic therapeutic area
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing professional teams, setting strategic direction and delivering results through others in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professional associations and external scientific stakeholders at national and international levels
  • Strong scientific communication skills, including experience with publication planning, medical education programmes and advisory board coordination
  • An advanced degree in a relevant scientific or medical discipline (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent)
  • Fluency in Arabic & English with excellent presentation and communication skills across all organisational levels
