Senior Family Office Advisor
Are you an experienced CPA or senior tax professional who wants to move beyond compliance work and spend more of your career helping clients make smarter, more strategic financial decisions? StaffBuffalo is conducting a confidential search for a growing financial advisory organization seeking a Senior Family Office Advisor, offering a $150,000–$180,000 base salary, profit sharing, and a long-term opportunity to progress toward partnership. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has built deep technical expertise in tax but is ready to apply that knowledge in a more consultative, relationship-driven environment.
As the Senior Family Office Advisor, you'll work with high-net-worth families, business owners, outside CPAs, attorneys, investment professionals, and other advisors to coordinate complex tax and financial strategies. The emphasis is on value-added advisory work rather than tax compliance, understanding how businesses, trusts, investments, and personal financial decisions interact and helping clients identify opportunities for tax savings, stronger structures, and better long-term financial outcomes. The Senior Family Office Advisor will manage strategic projects, bring the right internal and external professionals into client engagements, and serve as a trusted point of coordination across sophisticated financial relationships.
This is also a growth-oriented position. The Senior Family Office Advisor will help develop strategic partnerships and referral relationships, contribute to M&A and acquisition opportunities, and support the continued expansion of a growing family office platform. There are no formal people-management responsibilities initially, but you'll take ownership of projects and help coordinate team members and professional partners as engagements require.
This is a hybrid position with flexibility based on location and business needs. Preference will be given to candidates throughout the Northeast and Midwest, including New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and surrounding states. Candidates should also be comfortable with minimal travel, generally occurring monthly or quarterly depending on client and business needs.
