Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Hillingdon to assist with the appointment of a Senior Family Engagement Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.83 - £22.02 per hour

The role involves supporting families at the point of entry to Family Hubs and Childrens Centres, ensuring they receive a warm welcome, guidance, and access to appropriate services. You will manage front-of-house operations, respond to enquiries, maintain records, and support the delivery of early intervention and community services for families.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome families into the centre and build positive relationships with parents, carers, and visitors.
  • Manage reception and respond to enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Provide information, advice, and signposting on childcare, health, benefits, and family support services.
  • Maintain accurate family records, registrations, and attendance data.
  • Manage the centre calendar, bookings, and administrative processes.
  • Coordinate the Your Bump and Beyond antenatal programme.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (Grades A–C / 9–4).

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working in a busy team environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good ICT skills and ability to use databases and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with families and professionals.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and supporting vulnerable families.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
