Role Responsibilities
As the Senior Fair Registration Practices Analyst, you will provide strategic policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership to support fair registration practices across Alberta's professional regulatory environment. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to navigate complex policy and legislative issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and analyzing emerging issues, trends, and best practices related to professional regulation and foreign qualification recognition.
• Interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures under the Fair Registration Practices Act.(FRPR)
• Analyzing quantitative and qualitative information to identify opportunities, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
• Developing briefing notes, reports, presentations, decision documents, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with regulatory bodies, government partners, and stakeholders.
• Leading projects and initiatives related to policy development, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and legislative implementation.
• Supporting outreach, education, and continuous improvement activities to strengthen fair registration practices across Alberta.

Qualifications

University degree in Public Administration, Arts, or a related field. Equivalencies will be considered.

Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

• 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
• 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
  
  

Experience in a government, policy, regulatory, or professional regulatory environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Policy research, analysis, and development.
• Interpretation and application of legislation, regulations, and policy.

• Preparing recommendations, reports, and briefing materials for senior decision-makers.

Notes

One permanent full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. working out of Edmonton.
