Responsibilities:

  • Conduct failure analysis for AC/DC, DC/DC and LLC power supplies, diagnose electrical failures and propose solutions.

  • Test power modules with oscilloscopes, multimeters and other tools, analyze the design issues or component failures on PCBA level.

  • Analyze test log, CPK data, BI log data, and report findings.

  • Support pilot production, troubleshoot for production defects, provide repair guidelines and technical documentations.

  • Collaborate with R&D teams to optimize designs, ensuring compliance with safety and EMC standards.

  • Prepare bilingual FA reports and present findings to clients or internal teams. Plan and improve failure analysis capability and capacity continuously, including training technicians.

  • Oversea travel per requested

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical or Power Electronic engineering etc.

  • Good English listening, writing & speaking.

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in power supply failure analysis techniques. Proficient in switch-mode power supply topologies (BUCK, BOOST, Flyback, Forward and so on) and failure analysis techniques.

  • Experience with PSUs, including AC/DC, DC/DC converters, and power factor correction (PFC) circuits is plus

  • Experience with BBUs, including BMS(battery management system), DC/DC converters, and battery testing, such as charge/discharge cycles is plus

  • Experience with power shelves, racks, and PSCs is plus

  • A deep understanding of electrical components and power electronics.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving abilities to identify root causes of failures.
