Senior Facilities Engineer – Full-Time Onsite

Title: Senior Facilities Engineer – Full-Time Onsite

Location: Buena Park, California

Type: Full-Time Onsite

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)

This position would be responsible for supporting productivity and capital expenditure projects, product transfer projects with layout, linkage and flow of equipment and infrastructure, overseeing facility infrastructure improvement projects, ensures compliance and would work in partnership with the Maintenance and EH&S teams to provide operational support for facilities projects and services.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Works with various team members to improve facility layouts, utilizing lean manufacturing, safe work environment and energy conservation principles.
  • Oversee and manage projects to upgrade and support the facility infrastructure including but not limited to: HVAC, ventilation and extractions systems, electrical systems, wastewater treatment and industrial water systems.
  • Lead and be the primary maintenance support for manufacturing product transfer projects and other manufacturing engineering and automation projects and capital expenditure initiatives.
  • Manage and spearhead the Management of Change and other facilities document SOP processes.
  • Manage and maintain the maintenance work order asset management system including lockout tag-out and TPM programs.
  • Be the point of contact for audits, including Quality, Safety and Customer audits and answer any corrective actions.
  • Coordinates work of outside contractors.
  • Provides work and technical leadership to others who assist.

Basic Qualifications

  • Education and experience:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in facility management, industrial, manufacturing, electrical, chemical or other engineering discipline is required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in facilities management.
    • Strong history of project management (PMP certification preferred).
    • Professional certification in the design and construction of HVAC and/or extraction systems with knowledge of AIHA standards is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with CMMS maintenance software programs.
    • Proficient in creating facility layouts using CAD software.
    • Knowledge of facility fire systems and their requirements.
    • Strong electrical knowledge of building and safety requirements.
  • Ability to travel (up to 25% travel required)
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and project management skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in reading/writing English/Spanish
