Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.

(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.)

You will be responsible for:

• supporting the development and implementation of strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement and outreach initiatives to enhance the Authority's connections with government bodies, corporates, community organisations and other key stakeholders;
• coordinating with arts and cultural programme partners, District Councils, community groups, NGOs, corporate partners, professional bodies, or other government organisations for public engagement, community outreach and partnership collaborations;
• working with external agencies, outsourced vendors and community partners on public engagement, community outreach, public relations (PR), marketing, and partnership initiatives, as necessary;
• assisting in implementing corporate events, community engagement programmes, partnership initiatives and delegation visits to strengthen the brand image of the Authority and WestK, including supporting event planning and execution, and liaising with internal and external key stakeholders, including government organisations, community groups and other concerned parties;
• preparing corporate communications materials including news summaries, papers, presentations and press releases;
• assisting with administrative and coordination work for daily operation of the team;
• driving and executing ad-hoc communications, engagement and partnership related-projects when required; and
• performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

You should:

• possess a recognised university degree or above in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related discipline;
• have at least 3 years of relevant and solid experience in corporate social responsibility, community engagement public relations, events management, media relations and corporate communications;
• have solid experience in engaging government bodies, District Councils, NGOs and community groups;
• have strong interpersonal and communications skills, good team player, multi-tasking, able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure, creative and dynamic;
• able to execute projects and events independently with guidance to achieve the engagement objectives and demonstrate strong attention to details and have a flexible approach to work;
• have excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; proficient in Putonghua will be an advantage; and
• able to work irregular hours at weekends and public holidays if required.
