Job Description

Streamline Defense is hiring a Senior GEOINT Data Scientist to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. You will own the accuracy, consistency, and governance of geospatial data, developing and maintaining data standards while assessing analytic products for tradecraft and rigor across organizational and intra-IC boundaries.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain accuracy and consistency of geospatial data management, including data standards development and protection of data per office and agency regulations
  • Perform in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries, and clearly articulate findings
  • Review analytic products for argumentation, tradecraft, industry and agency standards, and analytic rigor
  • Analyze complex data landscapes, identify data risks, and define mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate the implementation of data improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Maintain data governance artifacts and support audits and compliance requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance. Must be willing to take a CI Polygraph if required.
  • 5+ years of experience in geospatial data management, data governance, or data stewardship, preferably in a complex organizational environment. A combination of education, professional certifications, and training may be substituted in lieu of years of experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a foundational understanding of database technologies, with the ability to analyze and profile data
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality concepts
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and their impact on data management practices
  • Proficiency in the ESRI suite, geodatabase technologies, and web capabilities
  • Working knowledge of geospatial metadata, standards, and implementation
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
