Your tasks

  • Lead and execute major external financing transactions, including bond issuances, syndicated loans, private placements, capital increases, and liability management activities.
  • Prepare capital market prospectuses and independently negotiate loan and financing documentation.
  • Analyze and evaluate funding alternatives and provide financing recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage and update the EMTN program, including negotiations with banks and coordination of capital market documentation.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with loan covenants, undertakings, and reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, bond investors, debt analysts, rating agencies, advisors, and financial regulators.
  • Manage the Group's credit rating by engaging with rating agencies and assessing the impact of financial metrics on ratings.
  • Oversee liquidity management, including daily cash positioning, short-term cash forecasting, and money market transactions.
  • Execute foreign exchange hedging transactions (incl. spot, forwards, swaps, and derivatives) and manage banking counterparties for FX activities.
  • Prepare treasury reports and management presentations, while providing cross-functional treasury support and backup coverage for treasury operations.

Your profile

  • Master's degree / Diploma in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • More than 9 years of relevant professional experience in treasury, corporate finance, funding, or capital markets.
  • Solid expertise in corporate finance, treasury management, financial reporting, financial analysis, and debt financing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex financial situations and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, high integrity, proven ability to build trusted relationships, and the capability to work effectively across functions, cultures, and senior management levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English and German.

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to EUR 96.614,-- all-in. Depending on skills and specific experience, over-payment is possible.

About OMV Petrom

OMV Petrom is the largest integrated energy producer in Southeastern Europe, with an annual Group hydrocarbon production of approximately 38 million boe in 2025. The Group has a refining capacity of 4.5 million tons annually and operates an 860 MW high-efficiency gas-fired power plant. The Group is present on the oil products retail market in Romania and neighbouring countries through approximately 780 filling stations under two brands – OMV and Petrom.

OMV Petrom is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, with a 28.1% free float. As of end-2025, Romanian shareholders held around 45% of the shares (of which the Romanian state held 20.7%, while 24.4% were owned by pension funds in Romania, as well as other Romanian natural persons and legal entities). OMV Aktiengesellschaft, held a 51.2% stake in OMV Petrom, and the remaining 3.7% were held by other foreign investors.

OMV Petrom is one of the largest contributors to the state budget, with more than 48 billion euro in taxes and dividends paid between 2005 and 2025.
