€66,918.00 - €117,800.00The External Analytical Organization (EAO) is part of Technical Research & Development (TRD) Biologics and serves as a key enabling function within Analytical Development (AD). EAO is responsible for driving efficient, compliant, and scalable analytical outsourcing across the Novartis development portfolio, ensuring seamless collaboration between Analytical Development and external analytical partners.
As an External Analytical Operations Manager, you will act as the primary operational interface between Novartis and external analytical service providers. You will drive outsourcing operations, partner governance, forecasting, financial management, and continuous improvement initiatives to support the successful execution of Analytical Development programs.

Key Responsibilities
Manage outsourced analytical activities across a portfolio of development projects.
Coordinate planning, forecasting, and execution with external analytical partners.
Drive operational governance and performance management of CROs and service providers.
Monitor capacity, timelines, risks, and delivery of outsourced activities.
Manage financial processes including forecasting, purchase orders, invoices, and budget tracking.
Drive process harmonization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external providers.
Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and Novartis requirements.
What You'll Bring
Degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Experience in pharmaceutical development, external operations, outsourcing, vendor management, or project management.
Strong organizational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Experience managing external partners in a global environment.
Financial acumen and experience with forecasting and budget management.
Knowledge ofGxP-regulated environments is desirable.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 66,918.00 - 90,600.00 - 117,800.00 EUR Annual
The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
