About Us

UniSuper is a workplace where highly skilled professionals are empowered to Think Great and deliver exceptional retirement outcomes for our members. With a culture grounded in accountability, collaboration and care, your work contributes directly to members’ long‑term financial security. The Marketing & Growth Business Unit focuses on developing and executing strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention and overall growth for the organisation. We are the engine room of change, and we are keen to deliver and maintain best‑in‑class digital experiences.

This is an opportunity to shape meaningful, high‑impact digital experiences as part of a major transformation program that directly supports our members.

The role

This 12‑month max‑term contract delivers high‑quality experience design support for a strategic digital transformation, migrating a high‑volume customer‑facing application from a legacy platform to a cloud‑based environment. As a Senior Experience Designer, you’ll balance delivery constraints with customer‑centred design to uplift usability, accessibility and consistency across core journeys.

You will:

  • Deliver UX design for the migration of a legacy customer‑facing application to a cloud platform.
  • Produce delivery‑ready artefacts including user flows, wireframes, interaction designs and annotations.
  • Define and document application‑specific UI components within the global design system.
  • Identify pragmatic experience uplifts that modernise legacy journeys within program constraints.
  • Partner closely with developers and delivery teams to ensure feasible, high‑quality implementation.
  • Ensure designs meet experience standards, brand requirements and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility compliance.

About you

You’re a customer‑focused, pragmatic designer who enjoys working in fast‑moving delivery environments and takes pride in high‑quality, usable outcomes. You collaborate easily across disciplines and communicate design intent clearly to support confident decision‑making.

You bring:

  • Experience delivering UX design for digital products across web and mobile.
  • Strong capability working within enterprise design systems and contributing new components.
  • Proven experience producing delivery‑ready artefacts in agile delivery environments.
  • The ability to balance speed, quality and customer outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across product, technology and business teams.
  • Proficiency with Figma, responsive design practices and accessibility standards.

What We Offer

UniSuper believes that the best way to achieve great things is when we come together and collaborate. Therefore, we ask you to be able to commit to 60% of your time in office. UniSuper is proud of our culture and benefits, which empower our people to achieve their full potential, thrive, and grow their career with us. These include:

  • $1,500 annual development budget
  • 17% employer superannuation contribution
  • Wellbeing incentives
  • Additional paid leave over Christmas

It should go without saying, but at UniSuper, we value and celebrate diversity and inclusion. We believe that a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, interests, abilities, and skills is crucial for delivering great retirement outcomes for our members. We invite you to apply for the roles that suit your career aspirations, even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
