Rather than deploying one-off energy projects, we are building standardized, repeatable GeoBlocks – units of geothermal power generation – designed to get cheaper, faster, and more reliable with every iteration. At Fervo, Supply Chain is a highly strategic function that acts as a core driver of our GeoBlock manufacturing process.

The Senior Expeditor owns the schedule-side view of procurement across Fervo’s active project portfolio — building and maintaining the master delivery timeline, tracking critical-path packages from award through fabrication and shipment, and surfacing risk to leadership before it threatens a project milestone.

This is a senior, largely autonomous role that works closely with Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and Field Operations, and represents Supply Chain directly in cross-functional planning discussions. The right person manages a large, complex portfolio of purchase orders and vendor commitments aligned to the integrated project schedule, exercises independent judgment on which packages matter most to cycle time and well cost, and mentors less experienced expeditors and coordinators. Success requires strong schedule ownership, structured status reporting, sound escalation judgment, and the ability to influence engineering, procurement, and field stakeholders without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own and reissue the consolidated procurement and delivery schedule across active packages, serving as the primary point of escalation for schedule conflicts within Supply Chain.
• Track open purchase orders against the master schedule, flag deviations from committed delivery dates early, and drive corrective action plans through to closure.
• Lead recurring check-ins with vendors and freight carriers to validate schedule commitments and drive corrective action; escalate systemic vendor performance issues to the Procurement Manager with a recommended path forward.
• Own dependency tracking between vendor drawings, engineering approvals, fabrication milestones, and site readiness — resolving conflicts before they cascade downstream and implementing process improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Escalate delivery and schedule risk to senior leadership and project stakeholders with a recommended path forward, including cost and schedule trade-off analysis.
• Maintain and continuously improve supplier performance reporting — on-time delivery, lead times, fill rates — to inform future award and scheduling decisions.
• Keep order status, delivery milestones, and supplier correspondence.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to junior expeditors and procurement coordinators.
• Drive continuous improvement of expediting processes, tools, and reporting standards across the Supply Chain function.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field; or 10+ years relevant experience considered.
• 7+ years of experience in expediting, procurement, scheduling, or supply chain project management, including experience managing complex, multi-vendor portfolios.
• Advanced working knowledge of project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar) and ERP/procurement platforms.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or informally leading junior team members.

Preferred

• Experience in oilfield services, upstream / downstream oil and gas, geothermal, energy, construction, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial supply chains, including material management, ideally in a multi-project or program environment
• Deep familiarity with Incoterms, freight logistics, and HSE requirements for material handling.
• Experience building or scaling manufacturing-mode or repeatable project delivery models.
• Experience presenting risk and schedule recommendations directly to senior leadership.
