[What you will be working on]
- Manage and maintain the department's owned and subscribed digital systems and platforms, ensuring their reliability, performance and optimal use. Platforms include the Library Services Platform, New Titles Listing system, Records Management System, Digital Repository, SP Memory Portal (on SharePoint Online) and FabLab Management System.
- Serve as the primary liaison with SP's IT department to ensure all owned and subscribed systems are compliant with SP IT policies and Singapore Government IM8 requirements, including conducting regular reviews and audits as necessary.
- Co-lead and manage the end-to-end procurement and renewal process for IT systems, including needs drafting relevant document, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation and stakeholder coordination, in accordance with procurement policies and guidelines.
- Explore, pilot and implement GenAI tools and solutions to streamline department workflows, improve operational efficiency and enhance service delivery for users.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery for the department.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes and compliance requirements.
- Support and train colleagues and users on the use of digital services and systems.
- Work with partners from other polytechnic libraries to facilitate process improvements and develop innovative services through shared resources and systems.
- Provide user-facing support as needed, maintaining consistent service quality
[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT systems management or a related role
- Preferably with knowledge or experience in the following:
- Understanding of Singapore Government IM8 ICT security principles, policies, and practices, and their application within IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
- IT procurement processes, including vendor management and contract administration
- Understanding of general programming languages
- experience with RPA tools and process automation
- experience using GenAI tools to solve problems or streamline processes
- Meticulous and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Team player with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, external partners and vendors at all levels
- Service-oriented outlook with empathy for users
- Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
