Job Title: Senior Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager (SAFe Environment)

Location: Mexico

Work Mode: Remote

Hiring Mode: Full time employee plus benefits

Pay rate: 27USD

Responsibilities

This is an important role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:

Agile Best Practices

• Manage day-to-day Agile ceremonies at the team level.
• Implement Agile best practices to improve team velocity.

Cross-Team Communication

• Drive cross-team communication and maintain healthy cross-team relationships.
• Provide accurate and proactive project tracking to the larger organization.

Impediment Removal

• Actively identify and remove impediments that may impact team velocity or deliverables.
• Partner with PMO leadership to manage program-level impediments.

Program Planning

• Participate in quarterly Big Room Planning.
• Work across the Program Management Office to resolve and plan cross-team dependencies.
• Facilitate assigned teams to make responsible commitments and negotiate competing priorities.

Relentless Improvement

• Lead regular team-level retrospectives focused on practical improvements.
• Participate in larger cross-team Inspect and Adapt events.

Development Team Relationship

• Act as a servant leader within the team.
• Use leadership skills to cultivate healthy and productive working relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

We believe the following are the key requirements for success in this role:

Experience

• 3–4 years of experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in a technical environment.

Certifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification required.
• Agile certifications such as PMI-ACP, CSP, or SA are recommended.
• Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• SAFe certifications such as Certified SAFe Agilist, Certified SAFe Scrum Master, and/or Certified SAFe Practitioner are recommended.

Technical & Functional Skills

• Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies, with demonstrated success in driving teams to higher levels of productivity and efficiency.
• Experience working as part of a larger PMO to deliver complex solutions using Agile processes, including identifying issues, removing impediments, and managing risk.
• Experience managing expectations, negotiating compromises, and interfacing between technical teams and business partners.

Domain & Tools Experience

• Familiarity with streaming applications, entertainment technology, and/or video and metadata ingestion workflows is highly recommended.
• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones, with the ability to synchronize and establish seamless communication.
• Previous experience working with third-party applications and integrations, including managing expectations, progress, and deliverables.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Google Workspace is required.
