Executive / Sr. Executive, Planning (CES Purchasing & Planning)

Job specific intro paragraph You will plan and purchase products from suppliers to meet delivery, cost and quality targets that support our customers across India & the ASEAN region. You’ll manage MRP inputs, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure on‑time supply, and drive cost reduction through vendor development and rationalization


Our Team

You’ll be part of the CES Purchasing & Planning team, working closely with Warehouse, Finance, Production, Customer Service and Stores to translate demand into executable supply plans. The team focuses on ensuring material availability while improving supplier performance and inventory efficiency


What You Will Do

  • Own planning and purchasing activities to meet on‑time delivery, cost and quality targets for Manufacturing components in India.
  • Translate consolidated demand into monthly, weekly and daily plans; release daily job cards to production and adjust schedules to meet priorities.
  • Monitor plan vs actual performance daily, expedite suppliers, and collaborate with logistics to trace shipments and resolve customs/inwarding issues.
  • Manage MRP settings (safety stock, MOQs, lead times, forecasts) and maintain part/purchase order status in SAP to ensure accurate inventory and planning data.
  • Partner with Customer Service to resolve order issues (confirmations, cancellations, returns) and support new material master/inforecord setup and standard pack decisions.
  • Resolve material discrepancies (damages/missing parts) and coordinate with Accounts Payable and Logistics to close claims.
  • Reduce slow, excess and obsolete inventory through analysis and vendor/part rationalization initiatives; participate in Lean and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support quality and compliance by following approved TQM and company policies and by consolidating monthly materials and demand/capacity reports for management.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in production planning, scheduling and purchasing.
  • Practical experience with MRP systems; working knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong organizational, prioritization and follow‑up skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication with strong customer service orientation and a sense of urgency


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Hands‑on SAP MRP configuration or advanced SAP usage experience.
  • Experience with inventory optimization (safety stock strategy, MOQ tradeoffs) and vendor development for cost reduction.
  • Experience with logistics/customs coordination in India & ASEAN markets.
  • Familiarity with Lean methodologies and TQM programs; demonstrated continuous improvement projects.
Prior exposure to demand & capacity planning and cross-functional stakeholder management
