UNIVERSITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICE

Senior Executive Officer / Executive Officer, University Engagement Office (26270217)

The University Engagement Office (UEO) is established with the primary objective of enhancing the University’s engagement with stakeholders of the community and strengthening its brand. The Office takes charge of engaging both internal and external stakeholders, managing university-wide events and marketing initiatives, and handling Chinese Mainland affairs.

Responsibilities:

• Support the planning, coordination and execution of university-wide events, engagement initiatives and marketing campaigns;
• Support academic exchanges and partnerships with Chinese Mainland institutions, including but not limited to university alliance and fellowship programme coordination, visit arrangements, and assistance with collaboration agreements and related documents;
• Contribute to publicity materials, websites, social media and communications that showcase the University's latest developments and achievements;
• Provide administrative, secretarial, procurement, reimbursement and record-keeping support for the Office;
• Liaise with internal faculties, departments and offices, as well as external parties, to ensure smooth project delivery; and
• Perform any other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in university administration, partnership management, public relations, Chinese Mainland liaison work, or a related field;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is mandatory;
• Proven experience in project coordination and management, with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, writing, organisational and execution skills;
• A self-motivated and detail-oriented team player who can also work independently with a high degree of responsibility; and
• Good computer skills.

Applicants with less experience but at least three years of relevant work experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit a written test and an interview.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
