Seeking an Officer to support the Volunteer Management Branch in managing personnel for the implementation of the Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS).
The BCRS aims to increase recycling rates, reduce waste and carbon emissions, and promote good recycling practices. Under the scheme, a 10-cent refundable deposit applies to pre-packaged beverages in plastic and metal containers (150ml–3L). Consumers receive a refund when containers are returned at designated points, including Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs).
Personnel will be deployed to RVM locations to assist the public with container returns and deposit refunds.
Coordinate end-to-end personnel recruitment, training, equipping, and deployment
Manage deployment schedules and serve as liaison for all deployment-related matters
Oversee communications (e.g. WhatsApp groups) for timely information dissemination
Conduct random on-site audits to ensure service standards
Collate deployment data and feedback for reporting
Review, verify, and endorse monthly payroll timesheets
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Able to commit for the full 3-month period
Willing to work evenings and weekends when required
Diploma or degree holder
Strong communication skills in English
Experience in people management and deployment coordination
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Meticulous with payroll verification and administrative tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
