Job Description

[What the role is]

The officer will drive stakeholder engagement and partnership development for the cluster across the Islamic religious sector, government agencies, and private sector partners. The role focuses on securing institutional commitments and translating ground-level insights into workforce development initiatives that serve the Muslim community landscape.

[What you will be working on]

  • Build and manage relationships with a diverse stakeholder portfolio spanning the Islamic religious sector (mosques, madrasahs, asatizah, VWOs), government agencies, and private sector partners, maintaining regular and meaningful engagement across all groups.
  • Secure long-term institutional commitments and develop a robust partnership pipeline across all three stakeholder groups, brokering cross-sector collaborations where relevant and tracking partners' performance.
  • Plan and facilitate multi-stakeholder consultations with religious practitioners, community leaders, government counterparts, and industry representatives, synthesising insights into policy and programme recommendations sensitive to both Muslim community needs and broader workforce priorities.
  • Plan and execute outreach events — including community sessions, sector dialogues, industry roundtables, and partnership forums — that raise the cluster's profile and deepen trust across religious, government, and industry audiences.
  • Support community outreach activities, event coordination, and communications, ensuring all external-facing engagements are culturally appropriate, professionally calibrated, and consistent with the cluster's messaging.

[What we are looking for]

  • Tertiary education in any discipline, preferably in Business, Communications, Sociology or Public Policy.

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, or community relations.

  • Prior experience with the Islamic religious sector or Muslim community organisations is an advantage.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across religious, government, and industry audiences.

  • Business acumen with the ability to identify, assess, and structure strategic partnerships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise consultation insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities concurrently.

  • A self-starter who works well both independently and collaboratively.

Successful candidate will be appointed on a contract basis.
