
Senior Executive - Maintenance
(Based at Unichela – Panadura)

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining MAS Unichela as a Senior Executive - Maintenance based at Panadura to oversee and ensure planned maintenance in building/utility machinery and identify countermeasures to guarantee uninterrupted services for the organization with a safe working environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the maintenance and reliability of plant utilities and critical engineering systems including HVAC, boilers, compressors, generators and water treatment facilities to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Develop, implement and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
Manage maintenance resources including manpower, spare parts, tools and external service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of maintenance activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance, identifying recurring issues and implementing sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor utility consumption and lead energy management initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs.
Coordinate maintenance-related projects, facility improvements and infrastructure upgrades while working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with plant requirements.
Ensure all statutory certifications, licenses, inspections and regulatory approvals are obtained and maintained in accordance with legal, customer and organizational requirements.
Partner with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) teams to promote a safe workplace and ensure compliance with safety, fire protection and environmental standards.
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of factory buildings, facilities and supporting infrastructure to ensure they meet operational and organizational requirements.
Lead, coach and develop maintenance team members through effective performance management, skills development and succession planning to build a high-performing and multi-skilled team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline with specialization in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering being highly advantageous.
2 to 4 years of experience in a maintenance, engineering or facilities management role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
Knowledge of Lean methodologies with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to effectively communicate information in a clear and professional manner; both verbally and in writing to engage stakeholders and ensure alignment.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools to efficiently manage documents, data and presentations.
