Position Name: Senior Executive Finance (Revenue and Receivables)
Location: East-Wharf Keamari Port, Karachi (On-Site)
Educational and Technical Qualifications
- Min. 14 years of education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting, and/or professional certifications such as CMA, ACCA (preferred but not mandatory).
Years of Experience Preferably 2 – 6 Years of experience in accounts and finance.
Nature of Experience Progressive experience in accounts receivables (AR) or general accounting, preferably in a mid-to-large organization.
Technical Competencies required for the role
- Strong grip over accounting and reporting standards.
- Knowledge of receivables management, revenue recognition, and reconciliations.
- Understanding of audit processes and internal controls.
- Expertise in systems such as ERP, Oracle, and SAP is an added advantage
- Ability to interpret financial data.
- Expertise in end-to-end AR processing – validation, invoice matching, and month-end accruals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, and stakeholder management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities:
- Preparation of revenue analysis and reconciliation of revenue with the trial balance.
- Reconciliation of accounts receivable with the trial balance.
- Process refunds for excess payments to customers in accordance with established SOPs.
- Processing of excess refunds to the customers as per the SOPs.
- Coordinating with the commercial and customer care department to ensure that the billing for each month is closed before every month-end and no unbilled revenue remains for any service.
- Maintain all bank receipt vouchers against commercial receipts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Coordinate with the IT department to address any system-related issues or discrepancies in revenue records within Oracle.
- Perform monthly closing Oracle entries for revenue/rebates accrual and any other internal / AD Ports templates for submission within timelines agreed or communicated from AD Ports.
People Management Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective administration and discipline for self and team, including adherence to break schedules, attendance, overtime, leave policies, and dress code standards. where applicable.
- Monitor and manage the achievement of individual and team Performance, ensuring accountability and consistent performance where applicable.
- Ensure continuous training and development opportunities related to revenue accounting processes for self and direct reports; mentor and assist junior staff as needed.
- Ensure Quality, Occupational Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance.
- Promote & maintain a culture of self and team motivation, engagement, and happiness.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting.
- Annual Audit and Closing: Facilitate annual audits and year-end closing activities.
- Assist the lead of the concerned area in decision making by providing relevant information, data, and Inputs
