Credit Control Senior Executive
Finance – Credit Control
Geographic Scope: Singapore (Country)


Responsible for end-to-end Accounts Receivable and credit risk management within assigned portfolio(s). Ensure disciplined execution of credit governance, proactive risk monitoring, timely collections, and cross-functional issue resolution. This role requires hands-on operational ownership, commercial judgement, and the ability to work across Business Units, Customer Care, SCM and clients to protect working capital and minimise credit exposure.


Key Responsibilities
1. Credit Governance & Risk Assessment
- Perform structured credit assessment for new and existing customers, including financial analysis, trade references and risk profiling
- Recommend credit limits and payment terms based on risk fundamentals and business exposure
- Monitor portfolio exposure against approved limits and escalate deviations in a timely manner
- Ensure strict adherence to credit policy, Limit of Authority (LoA), and internal controls


2. Collections & Working Capital Management
- Drive collection activities to achieve DSO and overdue targets
- Analyse ageing, payment patterns and PTAT trends to identify early warning signals
- Engage customers professionally to resolve disputes, reconcile balances and secure payment commitments
- Escalate high-risk accounts with clear risk assessment and recovery recommendation


3. Commercial Support & Stakeholder Management
- Partner Business Units to balance growth objectives with risk discipline
- Provide risk commentary for credit limit reviews, instalment structures, and special commercial arrangements
- Support renegotiation of payment plans and structured settlements where required
- Participate in customer meetings when credit risk discussion is required


4. Process Discipline & Continuous Improvement
- Drive operational discipline in AR housekeeping, clearing, and account reconciliation
- Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements
- Support automation initiatives (RPA, system enhancements, workflow optimisation)
- Participate in UAT, process redesign, and control strengthening initiatives


5. Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare structured portfolio reviews highlighting overdue trend, exposure concentration, high-risk accounts and provision recommendations
- Provide data-backed analysis to support management decision making


- Manage strategic or high-risk accounts with elevated exposure
- Lead workgroups with BU / customers to resolve systemic collection issues
- Drive RPA or automation deployment to realise efficiency gains
- Mentor junior team members and review risk assessments before escalation
- Contribute to process standardisation across Business Units


Functional Competencies
- Strong understanding of credit risk fundamentals and working capital drivers
- Ability to interpret financial statements and assess repayment capacity
- Commercial acumen with balanced growth and risk judgement
- Structured problem-solving and analytical capability
- Ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
- Hands-on operational mindset
- SAP experience preferred (Fiori / AR modules exposure is an advantage)
- Strong Excel proficiency (pivot, analysis, reconciliation)

Education & Experience – Senior Executive
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- 5–8 years AR / credit control experience in structured commercial setting
- Exposure to high-value portfolios or strategic accounts preferred
