
Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Department of Surgery, School of Clinical Medicine (several posts) (Ref.: 537137) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance).
Applicant should possess a bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years’ working experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. He/She is expected to have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage), good communication, organization and problem-solving skills, a good level of IT competency, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team. They should also be detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
The appointee(s) will provide a wide range of administrative work in relation to organization of academic activities and events, such as training workshops, seminars and conferences. They will assist in financial accounting matters, such as preparing purchase orders, processing payment invoices, reimbursement claims, etc. They will also be involved in promulgation of events via various promotional channels and perform any other duties as assigned. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours and during weekends.
Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
