
Wake County Government is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Executive Assistant to provide exceptional administrative and operational support to the County Manager’s Office. As the Senior Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless daily operations of the County Manager’s Office. You will also support the Wake County Board of Commissioners by coordinating meeting logistics, preparing and managing agendas and ensuring accurate and timely documentation. This position requires a proactive, detail‑oriented professional who can anticipate needs, solve problems and manage complex administrative tasks with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Your work will directly support transparent, efficient county operations and help deliver meaningful impact to more than one million Wake County residents.
With over 60 new residents each day, Wake County is a rapidly growing area. The County Manager’s Office is responsible for executive leadership of all county departments and agencies. The Office also assists the elected Board of County Commissioners, providing them information and analysis to help them set county policy and priorities. The administrative staff supports executives, coordinates meetings, manages financial transactions for assigned departments, and administers the Board’s agenda development process. This position focuses on supporting county executives, processing financial transactions, agenda development, and staffing the front desk.
