Location – Parramatta Hybrid working

Employment type – Ongoing

Salary – GR 7/8 $116,981 - $129,492 plus superannuation

Your role

Homes NSW is a division of the Department of Communities and Justice. It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.

The Senior Executive Assistant provides a range of executive, secretarial and administrative support services across a range of complex issues to support the Senior Executive/s achievement of organisational objectives.

What you’ll do

  • As the Senior Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, Homes NSW you analyse and assess requests in order to prioritise matters, and initiate action exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality to facilitate the optimal use of the CEO’s time
  • Manage the CEO’s diary appointments, records and correspondence, coordinate travel arrangements and schedule and support meetings to facilitate the effective management of the Executive’s operational area/directorate/division
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders within and outside of Homes NSW and the Department of Communities and Justice
  • Review high level communication including briefing notes and correspondence, to respond to issues and enquiries while acting with discretion
  • Ensure efficient communication across the CEO’s office and with Executive Director offices across Homes NSW

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive support in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Exceptional diary and calendar management skills, including co-ordinating complex schedules, managing competing priorities, and anticipating executive needs
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage confidential, sensitive, and complex information with discretion, professionalism and sound judgment
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Outstanding organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications and electronic record management systems
