Job Description

For more than 20 years, KordaMentha has supported businesses through some of their most complex matters and opportunities. Founder owned and led; we are an advisory firm that helps corporations, financiers, lawyers, private investors and government clients to grow, protect and recover value.

That’s what we do, but it’s how we do this that makes us who we are.

Proudly independent, strategically local, and with a bias for action to get things done, we focus on doing what is right by our clients, our people, and the wider community. Our track record shows that we help navigate the best path forward in challenging times, and do so across cities, regions and territories.

In the most stressful or demanding environments, we continue to drive change where it really counts.

Be the trusted right-hand to some of Australia’s most respected advisors.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Executive Assistant to join our growing Public Sector Advisory practice.

This is far more than a traditional Executive Assistant role. You will be a trusted partner to senior leaders, operating at the centre of a dynamic and high-performing team, helping to drive the smooth execution of strategic priorities, client engagements and business initiatives.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Partner directly with senior leaders in one of KordaMentha's fastest-growing practices.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior executives, government stakeholders and clients.
  • Take ownership of complex priorities and play a key role in the success of the team.
  • Contribute to national projects, client engagements and strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor and support other Executive Assistants while helping shape best practice across the broader team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment, enjoys solving problems before they arise, and takes pride in delivering exceptional stakeholder experiences.

As a senior member of our Executive Assistant community, you'll:

  • Partner closely with senior leaders to proactively manage priorities, competing demands and key business activities.
  • Coordinate complex diaries, stakeholder engagements and high-profile meetings.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, correspondence and client materials.
  • Support client engagement activities including reporting, invoicing, CRM management and practice operations.
  • Coordinate events, workshops, travel and national team initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders, clients and government representatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement through smarter processes, stronger collaboration and operational excellence.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who combines professionalism, initiative and exceptional judgement.

You will bring:

✔ Significant experience supporting senior executives, Partners or C-suite leaders.

✔ Experience within professional services, consulting, advisory, government or another fast-paced environment.

✔ Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities.

✔ A highly proactive approach with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems before they occur.

✔ Exceptional written communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.

✔ Advanced Microsoft Office skills and confidence working across multiple business systems.

✔ A genuine commitment to providing outstanding service and support to both clients and colleagues.
