Job Purpose

The Accounts Payable team supports Marcura Group's Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process across a growing portfolio of Group entities (including DA-Desk FZE, Marcura Equities, Marcura Platform Solutions, Marcura India Services, Martrust Corporation and others). This role is being created to add dedicated Grade 12 capacity to the AP team, working alongside the existing Senior Accountant (AP) to ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately, on time and in full control, while supporting reconciliations, reporting and audit readiness across the assigned entities.

The Senior Executive – AP will independently manage the end-to-end invoice-to-pay cycle for an assigned set of entities/vendors and will be a key contributor to the team's weekly and monthly reporting cycle (AP aging, AP Forecast reports, Weekly spent reports etc.) and to ongoing process improvement and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice Processing & Management

• Account for AP invoices in Oracle/NetSuite with reference to the Purchase Order raised by Procurement, following up with Procurement to secure PO creation and approval for received invoices.
• Process non-PO invoices (e.g. employee travel, insurance, DSO, mobile expenses, payroll-related invoices) per the approved workflow, ensuring correct tax and accounting/cost-Centre coding.
• Perform invoice verification, 2-way/3-way matching, and investigate and escalate mismatched or blocked invoices.
• Monitor and use RT/tracking tools regularly — tag, resolve and monitor RT tickets/dashboards to ensure no invoice is missed and full control is maintained over invoice volumes.
• Promptly communicate with vendors to resolve invoice queries and close outstanding requests.
• Oversee Group credit card usage, track transactions, and record expenses in the accounting system.

Payments Management

• Ensure timely and accurate execution of vendor payments in line with agreed payment cycles and due dates.
• Prepare AP ageing reports and payment plans/schedules for the 1st and 2nd payment cycles for assigned entities.
• Support manual and automated (Host-to-Host) payment processing, verify new supplier bank details with Procurement/Compliance prior to payment, and investigate and resolve failed or returned payments in coordination with the bank and Procurement.
• Assist with payment advice and communication to critical suppliers (e.g. insurance, rent, legal, one-off and acquisition-related payments).

Reconciliations

• Perform bank reconciliation, including posting of entries for payments, payroll, bank charges, exchange rate differences, internal transfers and standing-instruction-related entries.
• Perform vendor reconciliation and portal reconciliation (e.g. DHL, DSO, Etisalat and similar vendor portals).

Reporting & MIS

• Support preparation of the weekly AP ageing, AP spend and cash balance reports submitted for Marlin (Group) reporting.
• Assist with the Group's 13-week AP forecast and monthly closing balance reporting.

Controls, Compliance & Audit

• Maintain complete, audit-ready supporting documentation for all AP transactions and assist with Group Audit with timely remediation of any AP-related findings.
• Ensure adherence to approval matrices, segregation of duties and standard operating procedures across the invoice-to-pay cycle.

Process Improvement

• Support stabilization of the Host-to-Host payment solution to reduce manual effort and minimize processing exceptions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within P2P and support the team's broader efficiency and AI-adoption initiatives.
• Support finance transformation (ERP implementation and related Tools) and drive scalability initiatives across systems, AI and entity structure

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

• Master’s/ Bachelor’ degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Part-qualification or progress toward a professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA/CMA/ACCA/CPA) is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable / Procure-to-Pay, ideally within a multi-entity, multi-currency group environment.
• Hands-on experience with invoice processing, 2-way/3-way matching, vendor and bank reconciliations, and vendor payment execution.
• Experience working with an ERP system (Oracle and NetSuite preferred) and exposure to payment automation / Host-to-Host banking integrations is highly desirable. NetSuite hands-on experience is a strong plus.
• Experience supporting internal/external audit requirements and working within a defined controls and approval-matrix environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel; comfort working with reporting/ERP tools and ticket-tracking systems
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage the invoice volume while meeting strict deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple entities, currencies and payment cycles simultaneously.
• Clear, professional communication skills for regular liaison with vendors, Procurement, Compliance, and internal stakeholders.
• A proactive, process-improvement mindset and willingness to support automation and digitization initiatives.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely as part of a small, hands-on AP team.
• Comfortable working in a remote, multinational team spanning multiple time zones and cultures.

Reporting Line

This position reports directly to the Head of Accounts Payable and works closely with the existing AP team.
