The Senior Executive - Accounting will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
Job Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
* Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, Thai GAAP).
* Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
* Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely provision of necessary documentation and explanations.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and prepare tax returns (e.g., corporate income tax, VAT).
* Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
* Supervise, train, and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
* Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial data and analysis.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information exchange.
* Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting software and systems.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
* Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Thai Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Proven experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
* Excellent knowledge of tax regulations in Thailand.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
* High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
