Job Description

Must-Have Skills:
 B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Production, Industrial, or related
engineering discipline; Mechanical or Civil background preferred.
 1–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, drafting, production design, or a
similar role involving extensive use of AutoCAD.
 Strong working proficiency in AutoCAD, including preparation, modification, and
review of accurate 2D drawings, layouts, and production design outputs.
 Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer sketches, dimensions,
layouts, production notes, and design specifications.
 Good understanding of basic mechanical design concepts, drafting standards, geometry,
measurements, scales, tolerances, and dimensional accuracy.
 Strong mathematical ability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and commitment to
accuracy in design deliverables.
 Ability to identify missing, unclear, or conflicting design inputs and seek clarification
before proceeding with drawing preparation.
 Effective written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to coordinate
with internal teams, reviewers, supervisors, and stakeholders.
 Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple assignments, meet productivity
expectations, and work under pressure during peak business periods.
 Self-motivated learner with a willingness to follow standard operating procedures, accept
feedback, and continuously improve technical and process knowledge.
 Flexibility to work in evening/night shifts, extended hours, or Saturdays, as required by
business needs and company policy.
 Good-to-Have Skills:
 AutoCAD certification or any relevant CAD/design certification from a recognized
institute.
 Exposure to mechanical design software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, NX,
CATIA, Creo, or similar 3D CAD tools.
 Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for
documentation, reporting, and basic task tracking.
 Prior experience in swimming pool design, liner design, safety cover design, steel panel
design, or any related architectural/mechanical production design process.
 Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication drawings, sheet metal
design, assemblies, or product development workflows.
 Experience working with international customers, offshore delivery teams, or global
production design processes.
 Familiarity with quality checklists, drawing review processes, revision controls, CAD
standards, and productivity tracking systems.
 Ability to suggest process improvements, standardization opportunities, automation
ideas, or productivity enhancements within the design workflow.
 Basic knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, quality management, or continuous improvement
practices is an added advantage.Professionals in this group understand, build & standardize the reporting delivery process.

Prepare and develop accurate 2D production drawings for vinyl pool liners, approval
drawings, safety covers, and steel panel designs based on customer-provided dimensions,
sketches, site measurements, and project specifications using AutoCAD.
 Interpret engineering inputs, layout requirements, dimensional data, and design standards
to create drawings that are technically accurate, complete, and aligned with customer and
business requirements.
 Create, modify, and update design drawings by applying basic mechanical design
principles, drafting standards, geometric layouts, tolerances, and product-specific
guidelines.
 Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, completeness, clarity, and compliance with
internal quality standards before submission for approval or production release.
 Coordinate with internal teams, quality reviewers, supervisors, and international
stakeholders to clarify design inputs, resolve drawing-related queries, and ensure timely
completion of assigned tasks.
 Achieve daily and monthly productivity targets while maintaining high quality, accuracy,
and turnaround time expectations in a fast-paced, high-volume production design
environment.
 Use existing tools, templates, CAD libraries, checklists, and business systems effectively
to support consistent and efficient design output.
 Apply training inputs, standard operating procedures, and constructive feedback to
improve design accuracy, drafting efficiency, product knowledge, and overall
performance.
 Identify and highlight missing, unclear, or conflicting design information and proactively
seek clarification to avoid errors or rework.
 Maintain proper documentation, drawing records, revision details, and task updates in
accordance with process requirements and business guidelines.
 Demonstrate attention to detail, ownership, and accountability while working on multiple
design assignments with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
 Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing process observations, recurring
error trends, productivity improvement ideas, and opportunities for design
standardization.
 Develop working knowledge of pool design products, production workflows, quality
requirements, and customer-specific drafting expectations over time.
 Support business requirements by working extended hours or on Saturdays, as needed
and as per company policy, during peak business months.
