We have an opportunity for a Senior Execution Manager to join our Wealth, Insurance and Product Governance team and play an essential role in ensuring the business executes on strategic priorities.

You’ll ensure your colleagues have the right focus on driving the business forward and delivering to strategic plans. With your focus on driving the leadership operating rhythms you’ll ensure the different parts of the business are aligned and that leadership team processes are effective and efficient.

This is an Auckland based, in the office role working closely with the General Manager of the business.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Drive and maintain momentum across the suite of business activities and priorities.
  • Own and lead GM‑sponsored initiatives on behalf of the business, acting as the GM’s delegate as required within and outside the business.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities and enterprise‑wide strategies and investments.
  • Collaborate with the GM on run ahead work including prospecting as required.
  • Establish strong execution rhythms, governance and progress visibility including owning key leadership team forums and processes.
  • Provide concise, confident updates to senior leaders and governance forums.

What is your management style?

My style is to create space for each team member to proactively own their role, and I have a focus on building a trust-based, high performance culture in the team.

In this role you’ll be embedded in the leadership of the business. It will accelerate development and demonstration of your leadership skill set and knowledge base.

What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?

This is a dynamic and fast paced role that will suit someone who is very well organised, takes a proactive approach to their work, has a growth mindset and communicates clearly.

What will success look like for the candidate in this role?

You’ll ensure the operating rhythm of the leadership team is effective and efficient, the business will be delivering its key commitments and you’ll be loving the various ways you provide effective support to the GM.

What specific skills would be beneficial?

We are looking for a senior financial services professional (7+ years experience) who has a proven track record translating strategy into execution across complex, cross‑functional environments. You will also bring:

  • 5+ experience years in a wealth and or insurance product context.
  • Enterprise‑level leadership credibility with senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted delegate to a GM.
  • Strong strategic and commercial judgement with the confidence to make hard decisions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, influence and communication skills.
