Job Description


Job Purpose


The successful candidate will facilitate seamless high-level operations between the property developer and Chinese business partners. This involves managing the complexities of cross-border logistics, providing professional linguistic support, spearheading China-centric digital marketing strategies (specifically Xiaohongshu), and conducting foundational research for new project viability.


Key Responsibilities


1. Executive Liaison & Protocol Management


  • VIP Hosting:

    Plan and execute end-to-end arrangements for official visits from Chinese business partners, ensuring all engagements meet strict corporate and diplomatic protocol standards.


  • Stakeholder Communication:

    Serve as the primary point of contact between the developer’s Senior Management, the partner's Representative Office, and external authorities (e.g., TNB, local councils).


  • Logistics Oversight:

    Manage complex transportation grids, route planning, and contingency scheduling for visiting delegates.


2. Translation & Content Accuracy


  • Technical Translation:

    Provide high-fidelity translation (English

    Chinese) for legal documents, technical land proposals, and formal corporate correspondence.


  • Verbal Interpretation:

    Facilitate real-time interpretation during site visits, board meetings, and negotiations to ensure no nuance is lost.


3. China Digital Marketing (Xiaohongshu Focus)


  • Agency Management:

    Lead the sourcing and vetting of China-based marketing agencies. Compare proposals to ensure they align with the developer’s brand positioning.


  • Campaign Coordination:

    Act as the internal lead for XHS (Xiaohongshu) campaigns, ensuring the content resonates with mainland Chinese investors while remaining compliant with Malaysian property advertising standards.


4. Strategic Research & Feasibility


  • Market Intelligence:

    Conduct deep-dive research into market trends, foreign investment policies, and regulatory shifts.


  • Project Analysis:

    Assist in analyzing land suitability and project feasibility, benchmarking against industry competitors and emerging technologies.


  • Procurement Support:

    Source and vet cross-border suppliers, managing the transition from initial quotation to technical specification alignment.


Requirements


Education & Experience


  • Degree:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate Management, or International Relations.


  • Experience:

    Minimum
    4–6 years

    of experience. Prior experience in the
    Property Development

    or
    Construction

    industry is highly preferred.


  • Track Record:

    Proven experience in managing high-level delegations or working within a China-Malaysia corporate bridge.


Technical Skills & Competencies


  • Linguistic Mastery:

    Native or near-native fluency in
    Mandarin and English

    (Written & Spoken). Ability to draft formal business letters in both languages.


  • Digital Proficiency:

    In-depth understanding of the
    China digital ecosystem

    , specifically the mechanics of
    Xiaohongshu (XHS)

    , WeChat, and Douyin.


  • Analytical Ability:

    Competency in conducting market research and reading feasibility reports. Basic understanding of land/property regulatory requirements in Malaysia.


  • Project Management:

    High proficiency in coordinating logistics, timelines, and multi-party stakeholders under pressure.


Soft Skills


  • Cultural Intelligence:

    Deep understanding of Chinese business etiquette and "Guanxi" (relationship management).


  • Agility:

    Ability to handle real-time adjustments and "fire-fight" logistical issues during high-stakes visits.


  • Negotiation:

    Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with government bodies and third-party vendors.
