The Dean's Office is seeking a Senior Exchange Visitor Advisor to play a key role in administering UCLA’s J-1 Exchange Visitor Program. This position serves as a trusted advisor to university leadership, faculty, staff, and international scholars, ensuring full compliance with federal regulations and university policy.The Senior Exchange Visitor Advisor independently prepares and processes J-1 visa documentation and SEVIS records for a large population of international scholars and their dependents, provides expert guidance on maintaining lawful immigration status, and reviews complex cases and applications prepared by other professionals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with campus partners, including the David Geffen School of Medicine, to develop and implement immigration policies, deliver J-1 training and workshops, and support continuous program improvement. You will also contribute to office operations, reporting, and compliance efforts while staying current on evolving immigration regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced immigration professional who thrives in a fast-paced academic environment and is passionate about supporting international scholars and advancing institutional compliance.
