About the Role

The Senior Event Specialist is responsible for planning and delivering high-impact national marketing events and brand experiences across the Benelux region (Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg) for the BYD and DENZA brands

This role will lead the end-to-end development and execution of model launches, national brand events, media drives, roadshows, and test drive experiences that strengthen brand awareness and engage key audiences including media, customers, and partners.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with creativity and a passion for delivering premium automotive brand experiences.

Key Responsibilities

National Marketing Events & Brand Experiences

  • Plan and deliver large-scale national marketing events and local brand activations that support brand awareness and product introduction across the Benelux region.

  • Lead the organization of model launch events, media events, and brand showcases for BYD and DENZA.

  • Design and deliver engaging consumer-facing experiences incl. test drive events and brand activations.

Product Launches & Media Drives

  • Coordinate new model launches, including launch events, press and fleet previews, and media test drive programs.

  • Work closely with PR, product, and marketing teams to ensure launch events align with broader campaign strategies.

Support international launch activities and adapt global event concepts for the Benelux market.

Roadshows & Test Drive Programs

  • Plan and manage national roadshows, brand activations, and multi-city test drive programs.

  • Develop customer and media experiences that allow audiences to engage directly with BYD and DENZA vehicles.

  • Ensure all brand activities reflect brand positioning and deliver a premium customer journey.

Event Execution & Production

  • Manage the full event lifecycle including concept development, venue sourcing, production planning, logistics, and on-site management.

  • Work closely with event agencies, production partners, and suppliers to ensure high-quality execution.

  • Maintain strong brand consistency across all touchpoints including event design, messaging, and customer experience.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with event agencies, production partners, and external suppliers across Benelux.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including marketing, PR, product, and regional teams.

  • Coordinate with European and global teams to ensure alignment with international brand standards.

Budget & Performance Management

  • Manage event budgets, timelines, and project deliverables.

  • Track event performance and prepare post-event reporting and insights.

  • Identify opportunities to improve event effectiveness and maximize brand impact.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor degree and above

  • 5+ years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, or brand event management.

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale brand events, product launches, or experiential campaigns.

  • Automotive industry experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

  • Experience working with event agencies, production vendors, and cross-functional marketing teams.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to travel within the Benelux region and occasionally internationally.

  • Fluency in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
