Senior Estimator
Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their Dublin-based preconstruction team. This is a permanent opportunity with a strong pipeline of major projects across the commercial, residential, healthcare, data centre and life sciences sectors. The successful candidate will bring extensive estimating experience, strong commercial awareness and the ability to prepare competitive and accurate tenders for high-value construction projects.
Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for large-scale construction projects
Review tender documentation, drawings and specifications to identify project requirements
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and pricing schedules
Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
Develop tender strategies in collaboration with senior management and project teams
Assess project risks and opportunities during the tender stage
Prepare value engineering proposals to enhance project competitiveness
Participate in tender adjudication meetings and client presentations
Maintain estimating databases and contribute to continuous process improvements
Requirements
Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 7 years' estimating experience within the Irish construction sector
Proven track record pricing large-scale building projects
Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts and procurement routes
Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
