What We're Looking For

This is not a traditional Epic support role. We're looking for someone who can think strategically, partner with operations, and design solutions that improve how patients interact with healthcare through digital channels.

About the Opportunity

Our healthcare client is expanding its digital health and patient engagement capabilities and is seeking an experienced Epic professional to support the design, build, and optimization of patient-facing solutions.

This role will partner closely with operational stakeholders and technology teams to enhance the digital patient experience through self-service tools, patient outreach initiatives, scheduling workflows, and emerging digital health capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of strong Epic build experience, operational partnership, and the ability to design solutions that span multiple Epic applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, testing, and implementation of Epic solutions supporting digital patient engagement initiatives.
• Partner with operational leaders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable Epic workflows.
• Configure and optimize patient-facing functionality within Epic applications.
• Design and support self-scheduling workflows, patient outreach programs, and digital engagement strategies.
• Collaborate across multiple Epic applications to deliver integrated solutions that improve patient access and experience.
• Support population health and patient engagement initiatives through workflow optimization and system enhancements.
• Participate in solution design discussions involving emerging digital health technologies and AI-enabled patient experiences.
• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, optimization, and enhancement recommendations.

Required Qualifications

• MINIMUM: 2 epic certifications + 8 years experience
• Epic build experience within one or more of the following applications:
  • MyChart
  • Healthy Planet
  • Ambulatory (AMB)
  • Cadence
• Experience leading Epic build initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Experience designing solutions that span multiple Epic applications.
• Strong understanding of patient-facing workflows and digital engagement strategies.
• Experience partnering directly with operational stakeholders to define and implement solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting patient self-scheduling workflows.
• Experience with patient outreach campaigns, population health initiatives, or care gap management programs.
• Experience supporting digital health, patient engagement, or consumer-focused healthcare technology initiatives.
• Exposure to AI-enabled healthcare workflows, virtual assistants, or emerging patient engagement technologies.
