In this role, you'll:
Working as part of a team providing expert advice and assistance to to a range of stakeholders involved in maintenance of the rail corridors for Sydney Trains around environmental management, planning and assessment requirements to support compliance with environmental and sustainability frameworks to achieve government environmental outcomes and meet the expectations of the community in NSW.
This role will see you understand and balance environmental and sustainability obligations with the needs and expectations of various stakeholders and communities.
Please note that this is a Temporaray Fixed Term Role until 24 December 2027.

Your generalist skills and knowledge as an Environment and Sustainability professional formed while working in roles utilisng your broad range of skills will see you equipped to assist with the variety of ecological issues you will be dealing with along the rail corridor.A background in small projecst local, state or federal government would equip you to understand the processes leading to successful outcomes.
You're recognised as an excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills, flexible with the ability to respond quickly to situations, and skilled at balancing and prioritising high volumes of work while adhering to the strict policies and procedures around the rail network , and understanding of sensitivities of working in a role which has many interested stakeholders.
