Job Description

Company Summary

Our client is a well-established provider of digital manufacturing, engineering, and design technology solutions serving thousands of customers across North America. The organization works with manufacturers ranging from mid-sized businesses to large, multi-location enterprises and major industrial suppliers. The company has built its reputation around strong customer relationships, technical expertise, responsiveness, and long-term partnerships. The business has a strong existing customer base and significant opportunity to expand relationships through additional technology, software, services, and solutions. The company combines the resources and capabilities of a larger organization with a relationship-driven culture and a strong commitment to customer service.

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Senior Enterprise Sales Executive to develop and grow relationships with large manufacturing organizations, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, conglomerates, and multisite customers. This is a newly created strategic sales position designed to pursue larger, more complex opportunities and expand the company's presence within enterprise accounts. The Senior Enterprise Sales Executive will take a consultative, business-outcome-focused approach to selling engineering, design, manufacturing, and related technology solutions. Typical enterprise opportunities are expected to range from approximately $500K to $1.5 million. The ideal candidate is an accomplished enterprise salesperson who can engage senior executives, understand complex business challenges, build a compelling financial case for change, and coordinate multiple internal resources to deliver a comprehensive solution. The initial emphasis will be on new business development, with the opportunity to build a significant strategic account portfolio over time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting large manufacturing organizations, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, conglomerates, and multisite businesses.
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close large enterprise opportunities.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, industry relationships, trade shows, conferences, partner events, LinkedIn, email, phone outreach, and executive-level relationship development.
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, departments, locations, and decision-makers.
  • Engage C-suite and senior executive stakeholders to understand strategic business priorities and challenges.
  • Lead consultative conversations focused on measurable business outcomes, including cost reduction, productivity, efficiency, time savings, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • Develop business cases and ROI-driven proposals that demonstrate the financial impact of proposed solutions.
  • Serve as the internal leader for strategic opportunities, coordinating sales, technical, engineering, services, operations, marketing, and product resources.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through additional products, technology, services, and locations.
  • Build and maintain trusted-advisor relationships with senior customer executives.
  • Develop a strategic account portfolio while continuing to pursue new enterprise opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, CRM activity, and opportunity plans.
  • Travel nationally to customer locations, industry events, and other strategic business-development activities.

Requirements

  • Proven success in complex, consultative enterprise or solution sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate $3–5+ million in annual sales.
  • Proven track record of closing $500,000+ transactions, with experience managing $1 million+ opportunities highly relevant.
  • Experience selling engineering, design, manufacturing, CAD/CAM, industrial technology, or related software solutions.
  • Experience selling 3D design, modeling, engineering, manufacturing, simulation, or related technology platforms.
  • Experience selling into large organizations, Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers, conglomerates, or multisite businesses.
  • Ability to sell based on business outcomes and ROI, rather than focusing primarily on product features.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with C-suite and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Experience developing new business while simultaneously expanding strategic customer relationships.
  • Ability to build relationships across multiple departments, business units, and geographic locations.
  • Willingness to conduct significant business development activity and approximately 50% national travel.
  • Existing relationships with large manufacturers, industrial companies, major suppliers, or engineering organizations.

Compensation / Benefits

  • Base salary: Approximately $120,000–$150,000, with flexibility depending on the candidate.
  • Commission: Significant earning potential through a performance-based, tiered commission structure.
  • Commission opportunity is based on gross profit generated, with rates increasing based on applicable performance thresholds.
  • Large enterprise transactions mostly qualify for the highest commission tiers.
  • Experienced high-performing enterprise sales professionals have the potential to earn $300,000–$500,000+ in total annual compensation, depending on performance.

Location

  • Candidates may be located anywhere in the United States.
  • Approximately 50% national travel is expected.
  • Travel will primarily involve customer headquarters, manufacturing facilities, industry events, conferences, partner events, and strategic business-development meetings.
  • The position is designed for an experienced enterprise sales professional who is comfortable working independently while coordinating resources across a larger organization.
