Superlanet is seeking an Enterprise Data Governance Analyst to support a well-known healthcare organization in Northern California. This senior-level role will play a critical part in advancing and operationalizing enterprise data governance capabilities that enable trusted analytics, standardized metrics, and scalable data platforms.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience with modern data governance platforms—particularly Microsoft Purview and Databricks Unity Catalog—and can partner closely with data engineering and platform teams to move governance initiatives from concept to execution. Microsoft and Databricks are prepared to support pilots and POCs; this role serves as the dedicated senior resource to drive those efforts forward. This is an 8-month contract with high possibility of extension OR conversion. Onsite expectation 1-2 times a week.
Advance and operationalize enterprise data governance platform components, with a focus on Microsoft Purview and Databricks Unity Catalog
Drive adoption of data and analytics catalogs, including metadata ingestion, classification, and stewardship workflows
Facilitate enterprise metric standardization and alignment across clinical and operational domains
Capture and maintain technical data lineage in partnership with data engineering teams
Develop and implement metadata management strategies, governance policies, and operating procedures
Design and support enterprise data quality programs, including monitoring, issue management, and remediation workflows
Partner with data domain owners, stewards, and analytics leaders to manage analytic portfolios and associated metadata
Coordinate technical development activities to ensure seamless implementation of governance initiatives
Serve as a key liaison between governance, data engineering, analytics, and platform teams
7+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or healthcare technology
4+ years of experience leading or contributing to enterprise data governance programs
Advanced hands-on experience implementing data governance platforms (data catalogs, technical lineage, metadata ingestion connectors)
Strong expertise in data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and data ownership models
Advanced understanding of data quality principles and experience with data quality management tools
Proven experience collaborating with data community and domain owners in complex enterprise environments
Expert knowledge of reporting and visualization tools, with preference for application-based analytics platforms (e.g., Epic, Workday, Strata)
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field
Microsoft Purview or other data governance platform certification highly desired
Epic Cogito, Workday, and/or Databricks Unity Catalog certifications highly desired
