We are a small team of senior architects covering the full range of Enterprise Architecture across Hydro. We influence and set direction through governance, architecture requirements, and advisory services for all Business Areas and Global Business Services (GBS), Hydro’s internal service provider, and its partners.

As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will help define Hydro’s enterprise-wide architectural direction and ensure the coherent evolution of our IT landscape across Business Areas, platforms, and portfolios. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, technology, governance, and innovation, with a particular focus on shaping Hydro’s enterprise AI architecture.

What we offer you

  • An exciting role responsible for leading and maturing Hydro’s Enterprise Architecture practice, ensuring that the IT landscape supports the business strategy and objectives.
  • The opportunity to influence how AI technologies are adopted and scaled across a global industrial organization.
  • Responsibility for developing and maintaining the EA frameworks, standards, policies, and principles, and providing guidance and direction to the IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Being a key contributor to the IT strategy and roadmap, and a trusted advisor to senior management and business leaders.
  • Being part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and a unified enterprise perspective.

What you will be doing

  • Enterprise Architecture direction: Define and maintain Hydro’s enterprise-wide architectural direction, including the Target State Architecture, frameworks, standards, policies, principles, and guardrails.
  • Responsible AI & Governance: Embed Hydro’s risk-based AI Governance Model into architecture decisions. Define requirements for responsible AI, including explainability, human oversight, model drift detection, and data privacy compliance.
  • Strategic analysis and advisory: Analyze current and future IT states to identify gaps and opportunities; provide strategic architectural insight to senior management and guide major enterprise-scale initiatives and the I&T Strategy Roadmap.
  • Stakeholder engagement and M&A: Collaborate with IT Security, Privacy, Data, GRC, Legal, Procurement, and Business Areas, and lead architectural work in mergers and acquisitions while ensuring cross-portfolio alignment.

What will make you successful?

  • Educational and professional background: Possess an IT/Engineering Master’s degree or equivalent, with a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture: Strong expertise across EA domains, including business, data, applications, technology, security, and governance. Certification in EA/IT architecture is preferred.
  • AI and specialized knowledge: Strong understanding of AI architecture, generative AI, machine learning, AI agents, and responsible AI.
  • Experience in complex scenarios: Experience with I&T processes in M&A and multinational, divisional organizations.
  • Business & IT Alignment: Ability to translate complex business needs into scalable IT architecture and clear business value.
  • Strategic Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, teamwork, initiative, and integrity
