Shape the Technology Future of a Global Engineering Company

Own the enterprise architecture for NOV SPS and help simplify a complex global technology landscape while preparing the business for AI, digital manufacturing, and future growth.

About the Role

As our Senior Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for defining and governing the overall enterprise architecture for SPS. Working across business functions, software development teams, Corporate IT, and Enterprise Solutions, you will ensure that technology investments align with business strategy while delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

You will establish architectural principles, guide strategic initiatives, reduce complex application landscapes, and help prepare the organization for future capabilities in analytics, AI, automation, and digital manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, maintain, and communicate the SPS enterprise architecture and technology roadmap.
  • Translate business strategy into practical technology solutions and architectural direction.
  • Develop and maintain an overview of the SPS application landscape, including enterprise, in-house, and third-party solutions.
  • Ensure applications, integrations, and data flows support end-to-end business processes.
  • Establish architecture principles, technical standards, and governance practices.
  • Assess the architectural impact of strategic projects and technology investments.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, consolidate, and modernize the application portfolio.
  • Evaluate Build vs. Buy vs. Reuse decisions for new technology solutions.
  • Partner with Corporate IT Security to ensure security is embedded throughout solution design.
  • Define data architecture principles, systems of record, and governance practices that support reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, software development teams, Enterprise Solutions, vendors, and project teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities that create measurable business value.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Architecture, or Software Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, system integrations, APIs, and complex business systems.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms, cloud technologies, data architecture, and software development practices.
  • Knowledge of information security principles and enterprise architecture governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or industrial organizations.
  • Knowledge of ERP, MES, CPQ, Smart Factory, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or similar.
  • Understanding of modern data platforms, analytics, AI, and data governance principles.

  • We offer a competitive salary package including health insurance. 
  • You will work out of our office in Brøndby min. 3 days a week. It is possible to work from home.  
  • We don’t do Scrum or SAFe. We don’t do agile events. We have reduced the number of returning meetings to an absolute minimum. We work the agile principles and try to provide as much uninterrupted time as possible - so you can focus on your tasks.   
  • We expect that you can “work small” and closely with end-users, stakeholders and business leaders. 
  • Our working language is English.
