Job Title: Senior Enterprise Architect
Location: Couillet / Verviers, Belgium (Hybrid/Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives across the water sector. The role involves defining IT strategy, leading enterprise architecture, and managing complex IT programs in a multi-stakeholder environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Align IT strategy with business and regulatory objectives
Design and maintain enterprise architecture (business, application, data, technical)
Support IT governance and act as interim CIO/IT Program Manager when needed
Lead and manage IT programs and project portfolios
Ensure system interoperability and consistency across environments
Integrate cybersecurity, compliance (GDPR, NIS2), and resilience requirements
Oversee system mapping, architecture validation, and technology choices
Produce documentation and ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams
Technical Scope:
Enterprise systems: ERP (SAP), BI, GIS, CMMS, IAM
Infrastructure: On-premise, cloud, hybrid environments
Industrial systems: SCADA, OT/IT networks
Data architecture and system integration
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years' experience in IT / Information Systems
Minimum 5 years in a similar role (Enterprise Architect, CIO, or IT Manager)
Strong expertise in TOGAF (or equivalent architecture frameworks)
Experience with IT governance (COBIT, ITIL) and project methodologies (PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe, etc.)
Proven experience in complex system integration and multi-project environments
Strong knowledge of SAP and open-source ecosystems
Languages:
French: Native or bilingual (required)
English: Professional working proficiency
Preferred Experience:
Public sector, utilities, or inter-municipal environments
Knowledge of water sector systems (SCADA, GIS, asset management)
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and stakeholder management
Strategic thinking and decision-making ability
Excellent communication and documentation skills
