Senior Engineering Project Manager

The Opportunity
The Sr. Engineering Project Manager (Sr. EPM) oversees and manages engineering projects within our engineering/manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.
What you will do?
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of engineering projects, from conception through completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, set performance expectations, and monitor progress.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members to ensure alignment and resolve any issues.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.
- Ensure technical standards and quality requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve technical documentation, designs, and specifications.
- Engage with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal departments, to gather requirements and provide project updates.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or changes in project scope.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
- Monitor and manage project risks and issues to minimize impact on project success.
- Evaluate project performance and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and adherence to safety protocols among team members
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years proven experience as an Engineering Project Manager or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) is required. A master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- PMP certification is a plus
