Our Branch
Development Services delivers high-quality development outcomes through professional and efficient assessment of development applications. The branch works with developers, consultants, government agencies, and the community to support sustainable growth and ensure development aligns with Council standards and legislative requirements.
The Role
As a Senior Engineering Officer, you will play a key role in shaping Brisbane's growth by providing expert engineering assessment and advice on development applications and infrastructure outcomes. Working within Development Services, you will assess a broad range of civil infrastructure matters, including roads, transport and traffic, stormwater drainage, hydraulics, street lighting, and donated assets, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, Council standards, and industry best practice.
You will work closely with developers, consultants, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to deliver practical and sustainable development outcomes. The role involves reviewing engineering reports, preparing technical recommendations and approval conditions, exercising delegated authority, and providing guidance and support to colleagues.
