Whatyou’llbe doing

As ourSenior Engineering Manager,Platformsand Infrastructure,you’llbe at the heart of Anglian Water’s hybrid infrastructure, ensuring our platforms and networks are secure, scalable, andhigh performing, including:

• Lead platform strategy and delivery-defining andmanagingthehybrid infrastructure roadmap, balancing in-house and managed service capabilities, and embedding automation-first, resilient design from the start

• Build relationships-develop ingoutcome focused relationships with Architecture, Security and Product teams and our strategic technology partners.

• Ensure operational reliability and service-aware operations-overseeing Site Reliability Engineering, uptime, performance, and proactive observability to reduce operationalriskandtoil,and enable self-healing platforms.

• Develop people-leading,coachingand developing high-performing teams, while building capability across the function.

• Championcontinuous improvement and transformation-drivingDevOps, automation, and modern Cloudengineeringpractises,identifyingopportunities to reduce cost and complexity, and fostering a culture of learning, experimentation, and safe challengefor all.

You’llbe an experienced engineering leader who enjoys developing people, solving complexchallengesand creating the environment where your teams can thrive.You’llbe comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operationaldelivery andinfluencing across technical and business-focused teams.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience leading platform,infrastructureor cloud engineering teams

• Experience of managing engineering managers

• Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure, cloudtechnologiesand modern engineering practises

• Experience improving operational resilience and service reliability

• Knowledgeof DevOps, SRE andIaCprinciples

• Relevantprofessionalcertifications (e.g.Azure, AWS, ITIL, SRE)(desirable)

• Degree in a technology or computing discipline (desirable)
