Job Description

As Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic engineering team in the design and development of innovative HVLS fan and fan related products. Your primary mission is to inspire, motivate, and challenge your team to achieve their highest potential, while ensuring that all product development processes are robust, efficient, and aligned with the company’s commitment to quality and market leadership. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and creative problem-solving, empowering your team to deliver solutions that set industry standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

Motivate and mentor a young, diverse engineering team, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where new ideas are encouraged, and team members are empowered to take ownership of projects.

Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, enthusiasm, and a passion for innovation.

Project & Product Development

Take ownership of product categories within the assigned business unit to ensure strategic and tactical objectives are achieved within required parameters.

Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle for products from concept through production, ensuring robust design, compliance, and manufacturability.

Implement best-in-class engineering practices, including rigorous risk analysis, failure mode analysis, and value engineering.

Drive cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Industrial Design, Quality, and Operations to ensure seamless project execution and successful product launches.

Oversee the Quality Management and Testing team, and their corresponding lab.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Challenge the team to identify and apply innovative solutions that improve product performance, cost, and time-to-market.

Encourage participation in Kaizen and other continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and drive operational excellence.

Assist in sourcing, purchasing and quotation activities on new product development projects as well as engineering changes on existing projects.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards for safety, reliability, and compliance.

Integrate quality assurance and technical support functions into the engineering workflow to proactively address field issues and customer feedback.

Manage resources to support engineering product maintenance, standardized CAD formats, product development process and ECN processes.

Resource & Budget Management

Manage departmental budgets, capital expenditures, and resource allocation to maximize team efficiency and project outcomes.

Support the professional development of team members through training, mentorship, and exposure to new technologies.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, building trust and alignment with key stakeholders.

Represent the engineering team in senior design reviews and strategic planning sessions.

Education / Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE, BSIE, or related field); advanced degree preferred.

7+ years of product development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or project management role, preferably in the HVAC or industrial equipment sector.

Demonstrated success in motivating and developing early-career engineers.

Special Qualifications or Skills

Experience with industrial production and manufacturing processes.

Strong understanding of agency testing requirements and applicable codes/standards.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Project, and modern engineering tools such as Windchill, CAD, Credo, etc.

Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to travel as needed.
