We areseeking an Engineering Manager to lead one or morescrumteams responsible for developing and delivering identity protection products on Netwrix’senterprisecybersecurityproductplatform. This role sits within the R&D organization and reports to a Director of Engineering.
As Engineering Manager, you will own the full delivery lifecycle for your team(s)—from planning through release—while contributing to technical direction and cross-functional alignment across the broader identityand cybersecurity productsand product platform.
This is a hands-on position. You will be contributing product code as well as leading planning,execution, anddeliveryof high-quality product. You will be expected to actively remove blockers, set clear expectations, drive execution, andmanageengineers on your team.
Responsibilities
People Management
- Manage, lead,and develop a team of software engineers, including regular 1:1s, performancefeedback,reviews,mentoring,and career planning.
- Hire and onboard engineering talent; foster a culture of accountability,continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Provide technical mentorship and support engineers’ growth at all levels.
Delivery & Execution
- Own sprint planning, backlog grooming,agile ceremonies,and delivery commitments for your team(s).
- Ensure adherence to engineering best practicesincludingdesign andcode review, CI/CD, test,documentation,observability,supportability,release, deployment, and cost control.
- Identify, track,and resolve execution risks proactively; escalate when appropriate.
Technical Leadership
- Contribute to architectural decisions, ensureproduct security,andenable product andplatform integration.
- Drive quality through QA automation, integration testing, and reliable release processes.
- Champion AI-first development practicesto enable rapid, flexible product development
- Collaborate with platform,infrastructure, and Netwrix productteams onshared features,data,andintegrations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product Management and UX to align on roadmap, priorities, and requirements.
- Partner withcustomers andcustomer-facing teams to triage and address customer issues, understand customerneeds, andobtain feedback on product features and functionality.
- Represent engineering in planning, roadmap, and business alignment meetings.
- Communicate clearly and consistently across engineering, product, customer success, and leadership.
- Manage technical debt and advocate for investment in long-term engineering quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree inComputerScience, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with afocus on enterprise software, andprogression into management.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver software products on schedule in an Agile environment.
- Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices: CI/CD, microservices, APIs,automatedtesting, and code review.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with stakeholders across functions and time zones.
- Experienceleadinginnovationin product developmentmethodologyand delivery of new product features.
- Strong proficiency in modern object-oriented programming languages and frameworks used in both on-prem and SaaS product development.
- Experience with modern databases and frameworks in high-performance scenarios, such as PostgreSQL, ClickHouse,and Entity Framework Core.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in cybersecurity, identity security, or a security-adjacent product domain.
- Working knowledge of identity systems such as Microsoft Active Directory andEntra.
- Experience delivering on-premisesand SaaS-based software products.
- Familiarity with AI-first development practices, including integrating AI/ML capabilities into product workflowsandusing AI-assisted engineering tools at scale.
- Background in enterpriseproduct developmentandplatforming
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure,AWS,or GCP),containerization (e.g.Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code(Terraform, ARM)
