About the Role

The Ads Platform organization sits at the intersection of publisher integrations, data measurement, customer solutions, and ingestion infrastructure forming the connective tissue between Moloco's mobile ecosystem and our high-scale DSP backend. Spanning client-side SDK delivery, measurement pipelines, ingestion infrastructure, and technical customer-facing solutions, these teams collectively define how publishers integrate with Moloco and how signal flows through our platform at scale.

As the Engineering Manager for Ads Platform, you will lead four distinct but deeply interconnected engineering teams — Measurements, SDK, Customer Solutions, and Ingestion Infrastructure — and be accountable for the quality, reliability, and strategic direction of the systems they own.

While ensuring engineering excellence in these core areas is fundamental, we are looking for a leader who will transcend operational management to define the technical and business strategies that power our publisher ecosystem. Sitting at the heart of our technical stack, you will drive publisher-facing capabilities, ensure measurement integrity, enable scalable data ingestion, and deliver exceptional technical experiences for customers strengthening the foundations required for Moloco's next phase of growth. Working closely with Serving, Bidding, Creative, and SDK teams across Moloco, you will ensure the ecosystem evolves as a cohesive, high-performing platform.

Historically, the team has focused on rapid feature delivery. As we enter the next phase of growth, this role is about evolving the SDK platform for long-term reliability, scalability, and sustainability. You will go beyond executing individual features to shaping the integration architecture at the ecosystem layer, aligning strategic roadmaps, and bridging the gap between client-side SDKs and our high-scale backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Technical and Organizational Leadership

  • Lead the Measurements, SDK, Customer Solutions, and Ingestion Infrastructure engineering teams and help define technical direction, execution priorities, and team operating rhythm.
  • Drive the evolution of the Ads Platform organization beyond feature delivery, with stronger focus on reliability, scalability, maintainability, and long-term technical health.
  • Partner with existing technical leaders to ensure strong alignment between client-side development and broader platform architecture.
  • Guide technical decision-making across Ads Platform-related systems with sound engineering judgment and pragmatic trade-off management.

Cross-Functional Platform Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering teams across backend, serving, infrastructure, supply, mediation, and creative domains.
  • Help connect the SDK stack more effectively with the broader DSP serving ecosystem and identify opportunities for system-level optimization.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Solutions Engineering, and business stakeholders to align roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Drive cross-team alignment when solving ambiguous or multi-stakeholder technical problems.

Engineering Excellence and Team Development

  • Improve engineering quality across architecture, testing, release management, observability, incident handling, and operational rigor.
  • Build a healthy team culture with strong ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Coach and grow engineers and technical leaders through feedback, mentoring, and clear expectations.
  • Help attract and hire strong talent by contributing to role definition, candidate evaluation, and org design.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience in one or more relevant Ads areas such as SDK, backend systems, infrastructure, supply or mediation, creative platforms, or adjacent ad tech domains.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience as an engineering manager, tech lead manager, or equivalent.
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains: publisher SDK or mediation, data measurement or analytics pipelines, ingestion or event-streaming infrastructure, or technical customer solutions / solutions engineering with demonstrated ability to lead effectively across areas outside your direct specialty.
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and partner teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and translate broad business or product needs into clear engineering direction.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading or partnering closely with Ads measurement, attribution, or data pipeline engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with event ingestion systems, streaming infrastructure, or data reliability at scale.
  • Track record of leading customer-facing or solutions engineering teams alongside core product engineering.
  • Familiarity with both client-side and server-side considerations in ads or monetization platforms.
  • Experience improving reliability, observability, scalability, and release quality for production systems.
  • Experience working in high-scale ad tech, monetization, or platform environments.
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers or tech leads and helping organizations raise their technical bar.
  • Experience partnering across engineering, product, and business teams in fast-moving environments.
