We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Engineers to join our growing Systems Engineering & Verification Team.
About the Role
· The senior engineer will operate as a competent practitioner of the systems engineering & verification team.
· The senior engineer shall work at the core of our product development process and use established systems engineering tools and methods to bring clarity from ambiguity.
· Translate our product vision into clear and concise user, business, and product requirements.
· Create and manage the verification strategy to ensure traceability on test cases to product requirements.
· Identify the test cases and methodologies to verify the requirements.
· Identify the test method required for test cases to perform design and product verification.
· Using MBSE methods to develop product architectures, decomposing the problem into digestible functional, physical, logical, and behavioural chunks.
· Creating unambiguous useable requirements for engineers to design to.
· Build and coordinate system wide simulations to help us balance requirements early.
· Work collaboratively with all our engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage trade-off studies, and resolve engineering issues.
· Coach a growing core team of Systems Engineers of all levels of expertise. Coaching & Mentoring shall exist at all levels and in all directions within the team as it grows.
· Driving the Systems Engineering process and ethos into the wider company, educating other RDD employees in Systems Engineering to resolve technical challenges.
· Following a Leader-Leader mentality working as an emancipated team.
About You
· A first degree in mechanical / mechatronics / electrical / electronic / software engineering
· Experience in Systems Engineering processes and applications with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a product development environment.
· Demonstrable experience in performing systems breakdown, architecture definition and using functional analysis techniques resulting in well written unambiguous requirements.
· Capable of working in an agile and autonomous manner.
· A good grasp of MBSE including experience building SysML models using Systems Engineering Modelling Software
· Additionally, experience with Requirements Management Tools and Product Lifecycle Management tools is desirable but not essential
· A clear, logical thinker with attention to detail and an appreciation for engineering fundamentals and critical analysis.
