The Role – Senior Structural Engineer

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering practical, safe and efficient structural engineering solutions from concept through detailed design. You'll collaborate closely with project teams, clients and stakeholders while contributing to high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver detailed structural designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Undertake structural analysis and design using industry-leading software including Strand7 and SpaceGass.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate structural requirements into project delivery.
• Lead small project teams and support the delivery of assigned work packages.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, lessons learned workshops and quality assurance processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

About You

You are an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering quality engineering outcomes.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Degree qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Approximately 8+ years of experience within a detailed design engineering environment working on mineral processing and mining projects.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles including statics, dynamics, structural stability and mechanics of materials.
• Experience analysing and designing structural systems for safety, durability and efficiency.
• Proficiency with Strand7 and SpaceGass.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support and mentor others.
• Membership with Engineers Australia or a similar professional body is desirable.
• RPEQ (or working towards obtaining registration) is highly regarded.
