A Day in the Life:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate seat development activities with suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with Nissan design requirements.

  • Perform root cause analysis and develop countermeasures for engineering issues.

  • Support sourcing activities, technical documentation, and cost target alignment.

  • Lead or support digital development and DV/PV validation plans.

  • Support Global One Team initiatives and Total Delivery Cost (TdC) activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience.

  • Strong CAD and GD&T proficiency.

  • Proactive, innovative, and self-motivated mindset.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DVP&R, DFMEA, BOMs, engineering specifications, and change notices.

  • Automotive seating design and subsystem ownership experience.

  • Knowledge of occupant safety requirements (FMVSS, ECE, sled testing, whiplash, load-path design).

  • Expertise in seat comfort systems such as lumbar support, massage, ventilation, heating, bolsters, and mechatronic integration.
