Senior Engineer, Product Engineering

The Senior Engineer, Product Engineering leads engineering and design activities for Hot SCR systems, ensuring successful technical execution across engineering disciplines. The role integrates engineering, scheduling, and procurement requirements in alignment with contract obligations. Responsibilities include supporting project teams, interpreting design requirements, coordinating multidisciplinary workflows, and maintaining familiarity with emissions control technology, flow modeling, ductwork design, industrial fans, and construction. Knowledge of balance of plant (BOP) systems is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Project Engineers on all technical matters related to Hot SCR execution, interpreting and integrating design requirements.
  • Coordinate planning, setup, and monitoring of Hot SCR systems, inter‑discipline workflows, and design activities.
  • Translate contract scope and requirements for discipline engineering teams.
  • Monitor schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on‑time and on‑budget completion; participate in engineering execution reviews.
  • Track and compile design or specification changes, including impacts on ECNs and contract deviations.
  • Conduct regular coordination meetings with international affiliated companies.
  • Review project documents and drawings to ensure contract compliance.
  • Assist with specification development, bid analysis, vendor selection, and capability assessments for Hot SCR equipment.
  • Maintain familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including ASME, ANSI, AWS, API, ASTM, NFPA, and NEC.
  • Participate in team efforts to improve processes, reduce costs, and support warranty‑period issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, quality, and project management teams on vendor and subcontractor coordination.
  • Support evaluation of customer specifications alongside the parent company.
  • Protect confidential information and uphold the highest integrity standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and ten (10) years of directly related technical experience.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree, P.E. license, ISO and OSHA familiarity, international experience, Japanese or Spanish language fluency.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation; strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, and statistical methods.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and interpret varied technical instructions.
  • Proficiency with project management software, spreadsheets, word processing, email, 3D graphics tools, and diagram/flowchart software.
  • Ability to travel to customer offices and construction sites as required.
